Personal Investments • Re: AVANTIS/DFA high fees?

Hi, I am considering tilting my portfolio to small cap value and have decided to go with Avantis for my etfs.

When looking at their expense fees. AVUV (Avantis U.S. Small Cap Value ETF) has a expense ratio of .25% compared to VTIs (Vanguard Total Stock Market ETF) .03%. And when you look at AVDV and AVES they are even higher expense ratios.

I understand that Small Cap Value has a higher expected return but does that factor in Avantis' high expense ratios? Are AVUV,AVDV,AVES (small cap value) expected to outperform even with their high expense ratios?

Thank you
I love that we've gotten to the point where we think 0.25% is a high fee. When I started investing my Vanguard mutual fund expense ratios were in that range.

I judge it's worth it as I transitioned last year (really still in the process due to tax considerations) from VBR/VIOV to AVUV/DFSV.
Vanguard was raced to the bottom.
