Is the pension also inflation indexed? If so, I suggest there would be no better way to put a solid "floor" under your retirement financial security than to take an indexed pension option. If not, you have to weigh up the likelihood of you investing the DC amount to produce a similar level of risk-adjusted income than the pension would give you.
You don't mention a spouse, but if the pension has a joint-survivor feature that may be important to consider too. If you pre-decease, will the spouse be more comfortable with a pension or with having to manage and invest an inherited larger DC amount.
