I agree about the tech. We have purchased (new) both a Volvo and an Audi in the last couple years and the tech is a bit overwhelming (even ignoring the electric batteries).
One thing to consider: Our neighbors across the street bought a new Lexus recently. They were overwhelmed by the technology of the vehicle, still opting to drive their Subaru Forester at least as much. Be sure you are comfortable with new vehicle tech.
Finally, when we bought the 2022 RX, we admitted to ourselves that the base vehicle was adequate, so no big monitor screen, no leather seats, no moon roof, no big sound system, etc. We saved thousands by finding a unit with minimal options at a Costco arranged price.
I don’t know if that is true for late model mid-market vehicles also though.
