2) Have you withdraw social security and pension? Pension starts late next year, and SocSec will be taken in early 2026 by my spouse, while delayed until age 70 for me as the higher earner.

Why not delay your spouse SocSec and use that time to do more Roth conversion?

You probably need to do more calculation to model this out.

Because he'd like some income, and OpenSocialSecurity confirmed it as the best strategy for us.
With or without the burden of Roth conversion?

It might be the best strategy to get more social security benefit but you may pay it back by paying more taxes on your tax deferred account withdrawal/Roth conversion.

You may need a more sophisticated modeling tool to check this out.
