UPDATE: I called this morning. Spoke with rep at the number in the letter. She said there is a bulletin on my account that says investment accounts qualify. She read the language back to me and it is the language from the "good" letter. She is emailing me the bulletin. I asked her to confirm that the investment accounts would continue to qualify after September 15. She said yes. I asked if the paper "bad" letter is a mistake. She said yes. Will update this post when I receive the bulletin.
I am skeptical but will not make any major moves until 9/15.
If the only change is the $10,000 cap and new exceptions, I can live with that.
