(Umbrella, right? Not sure you can have umbrella without homeowners insurance).
Your umbrella policy will state the requirements for the liability limits on the underlying auto and home policies.
We just had a thread about this a week ago: viewtopic.php?t=437576

Homeowners insurance is not required for umbrella insurance. Personal liability insurance is accepted.

State Farm does not require homeowners insurance because it also writes personal liability insurance. GEICO and Progressive do not require homeowners insurance because they only require you to bundle with their own automobile policy. None of the major standalone umbrella insurers requires homeowners insurance because standalone insurers do not require you to bundle.

Many insurance companies require you to bundle all three policies, and they don't write personal liability. In these cases, homeowners is required because of the bundling requirement, not because it's required by umbrella. You can also switch to a standalone umbrella insurer.
