Non-US Investing • Re: Seeking portfolio advice: UK to US move-resistant

@tubaleiter -
1. We’d invest about 45k per year and it looks like the ISA limit is 20k. Do you think this it’s still worth it to max out an ISA if we also have to do one of the other methods for the rest of the 24k? (imo seems like it’s still worth it, but just want to check with you.)
2. Maybe I’m wildly out of touch but I thought the brokerage would automatically do this for us through things like capital gains reports and cost basis records? We’re using Interactive Brokers. As long as we get broker-generated tax documents, do we still have to track anything?
3-5: Thanks. Regarding BRKB: the idea of only one holding fields pretty risky to me, so probably not a good fit.
6. I got the list of stocks by describing to a personal contact who’s a financial advisor that I wanted to make a portfolio that mimicked ETFs. I think the heuristics he used to make it was basically to pick a variety of industries and a mix of large and smaller cap.
