Unfortunately, Covered California made an error and undercharged me by $1600 for my health insurance premiums. For some unintelligible reason, they thought I wanted subsidies this year, and I do not. We fixed it so the premiums for the rest of the year will be correct, but what should I do now?
I'm really careful about taxes and generally get a very small refund.
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but do I owe $1600 to the federal government only? If so, that's easy enough to fix by changing my withholdings. Do I owe anything to the state of California?
