I had a Mid 2012 MacBook Pro that still worked perfectly. I used it for a bit, but it just was a losing battle. Things just stop working.
I formatted the SSD and recylced it.
Your Mid 2015 might hang on a little longer on Monterey, but I'd say to make a plan to replace it.
