But when your car develops a problem, you hope that the manufacturer and their dealership will stand behind their warranty. That has not been my experience with Hyundai. The tech agreed with me but then got overruled by the service manager. Warranties don't mean much if the repair is not approved to be done "under warranty". It wasn't my experience with the one Hyundai we had, but it had no significant problems even under the long warranty. Most cars of most makes nowadays don't have serious problems.My personal issue with Hyundai is its service. They (Hyundai and dealership network) are not honorable. I have read so many anecdotes saying the warranty claims got declined for technical issues.
