Yesterday, I contacted Schwab about matching the Wells Fargo’s “bank” offer and it got rejected.Same, I tried to request matching of the WF $2500 as well as the Chase CPC $2000, but neither are strictly brokerage account offers, so Schwab wouldn't do it. Also couldn't match the higher Etrade offers last year.I transferred funds from Schwab to take advantage of the Wells Fargo offer in June. I got a call from Schwab asking why I was transferring out and what they could do to keep my business. I told them the reason and the rep sighed and said they were aware of the offer and they couldn't match it.Has anyone had Schwab successfully match Wells Fargo's $250k in assets for a $2,500 bonus offer?
I didn't bother with the Fintechs like Moomoo, Robinhood or Webull. They eventually just matched the Citi tiers, better than nothing.
I was attempting to rollover a 401k (non “bank”) to Schwab.
Oh well…
