FWIW, I have monitoring thru Experian too, free after having my info stolen a while back. I also got notified from Chase where I have a CC, just a day later then Experian. Might be worth checking your CC to see if they have similar. I do not know if the Chase monitoring is equivalent to the Experian.I'd like to piggy-back on this thread.
I signed up for Experian monitoring after an identity theft scare several years ago. I pay $25/month and they haven't found anything since. I do freeze my credit at all three bureaus and the rest of the recommended safeguards.
Every month when I see that monitoring charge, I wonder if I'm throwing money away.
Is it worth it?
