The domestic lounges are useful if you’re a business traveler and need a quiet place to make a call, get on wifi/send or receive email, charge electronics, grab a quick bite or drink, use a clean uncrowded bathroom, relax during a connection or delay, or get help rebooking a flight of things go sideways. For personal travel it can be fun to bring family who doesn’t normally go to the lounge but it’s not something worth getting to the airport early for.
For me the biggest benefit of the international business/ first lounges is being able to get a shower and get your clothes pressed on arrival, especially when you’re going to to the office or a meeting. They can also actually be an enjoyable place to spend time if you get to the airport early or have a connection and generally have quite good food and drink options.
