While they usually don't run out of food, they can definitely run out of the reasonable food. I had flown before on Etihad airlines, and they ran out of everything except the vegan option which was basically a punch of cooked hot spices!
I have had some great experiences on Etihad (admittedly at the front of the plane) but I'd consider them a Middle Eastern carrier not Asian and in my experience while the ME carriers are generally equal to or better than US/Euro airlines for onboard service (they can be worse for IRROPS) they are not in the same league generally speaking as the mainline Asian carriers in my experience.
Huh, interesting. I’ve found emirates (at the front) better by far than any of the Asian airlines I’ve flown. But admittedly I’ve never flown Singapore airlines
