I looked into them a while ago but haven't followed closely since a couple years ago.... but I have used ESG ETFs for my spouse....

> Vanguard ESG Global All Cap UCITS ETF (USD) Accumulating (V3AA) - any thoughts on this as a one fund portfolio?

Seems like a reasonable choice to me. I used SAWD + SAEM for my wife but that was before the Vanguard option came out. If I was doing it again a 1-fund option would be tempting. Rebalancing felt like a hassle. Or I might just skip emerging markets.

The only thing I would say is pay attention to the spread and daily volume. Some of these ESG funds have relatively low volume which isn't a big problem in the long term, but buying them requires a bit of attention e.g. buying when UK market is fully open for a few hours etc and with limit orders. SAWD hasn't been "too" bad to buy but I only do so once or twice per year. It's not the same ease as buying a high-volume US ETF lke VOO where you can basically place a straight market order at any time and be sure of a fair price/spread. For long-term holding don't let that put you off though.

> For some reason, V3AB which is listed as USD is only buyable for me in GBP. That's why I've put V3AA instead. If anyone can explain this too, I'd appreciate it

I think V3AB is the GBP version, while V3AA is the USD-denominated version. See the Stock Exchange tab here:

Also this shows the trading currency listed at Interactive Brokers for the two LSE-listed options:
