Personal Consumer Issues • Re: T-MOBILE 5G home internet service, any users?

I did the trial of their small business internet product (which I think is the same thing) this January.

The good: it was like 500+ mbps down, pretty good up, and latency was good while it was unloaded.

The bad: latency was really bad when downloading; maybe the right 5g modem would help? IPv4 is CGNAT (you share your IP address with other users) unless you set up a small business account with an EIN and pay a little extra a month for a static IP; the sales guy said I could get it with a SSN business account and the order email had it, but it was removed from my account before I got the modem and they wouldn't add it back. The INS FX3100 modem I had would not work with my network; it seemed like it really wanted to be the DHCP server and that doesn't work for me (I did all the testing with a single computer directly connected). I also had a hard time with cancelling the service, they setup a hardware return right away, but didn't cancel the service even though I returned the modem; I had called a few times, and then emailed the CEO support team, which did work out eventually, but was a lot of fuss for a risk free trial.
