An earlier poster correctly pointed out what I was referring to as a myth: that sugar in and of itself is bad. Diets high in added sugar are bad, due to the overconsumption of calories and/or the displacement of nutritious whole food with highly processed food, which is usually the source of high levels of added sugar.I apologize I did not mean to troll. Diabetes was too far fetched
If you want to argue that the Whole Foods chicken is cleaner…great. You may be right. You do you.
But to say that the Costco version will give you diabetes is a complete and total crock. You are trolling.
And this person is talking about the myth that eating sugar causes diabetes. It doesn’t (directly). By the way, eating eggs doesn’t raise your cholesterol either.
But can we all agree that injecting sugar into chicken is bad industry practice and it is extremely unhealthy?
The idea that some sugar in this chicken is unhealthy, even extremely so is just trolling at best, and fear mongering at worst. Mainly, I think it's bad to demonize a perfectly reasonable and very affordable protein source due to unfounded health fears.
