There was an article in The Verge pushing for Signal, especially for use between users of Android phones and iPhone users. In the end, the author wrote another article saying he was capitulating. He couldn’t get enough people to adopt Signal. I’ll let you guess which side was more resistant.I stumbled across an anti-SMS YouTube video. But it doesn't tell me if WhatsApp (an obvious alternative) is better than the ol' Short Message Service. Which is better for privacy? The last thing I want to do is walk around the USA trying to sell people on Signal or the SimpleX Protocol.
I know how he feels. I love the apps, but my friends generally use Apple Messages or SMS or one of the few messaging apps I don’t use: WhatsApp.
