Personal Finance (Not Investing) • better.com, amerisave, rocket mortgage all asking for credit pull even to show their approximate rates, is it ok?

Hi,

I am looking to refinance for the first time. I am trying to see what the rates are now, all websites are asking for soft pull and some are asking for credit unfreeze to even show their rates.

Is it ok to give SSN and may be unfreeze(better.com wants unfreeze) to even see their rates?

Is that the way to do things now a days ? is it safe to give away all the details only to see some bad rates later ?
