Andor reminds me of Breaking Bad. The main character gets into trouble no matter where they go. It’s almost comical. But what happens after they get into trouble is really well done. Not sure how much traction this one will gain after reading through a half-dozen pages of recommendations or so, but in late 2022, Disney+ released Andor, which I can only describe as a Star Wars story for those who aren't necessarily Star Wars fanboys, or maybe I'd classify it as a highly intellectual Star Wars drama series. It is very much a slow-burn for most of the series, interspersed with just the right doses and timing of action (not the Jedi / light-saber type either, more "real action"). Contains a superb plot, sub-plots, character development, and excellent acting. Dark at times. Scored 96% on Rotten Tomatoes (same rating as Breaking Bad).
It is somewhat of an origin story, set 5 years before the events of the movie "Rogue One", which itself is critically acclaimed as one of the best Star Wars movies.
I'm sharing this for two reasons:
1 - Season 2 is coming out in Spring 2025, a long 2.5 year wait for many who loved Andor and have been patient
2 - This recommendation from me is coming from someone who is most definitely not a Star Wars, Marvel, or other Sci-Fi fanboy, more of a casual fan who just appreciates quality movies and television.
