Let me know if anyone has an alternative Argument to propose in its place.
The original proposed purpose was to collect the arguments behind different choices. A belief that valuation changes are not actionable for changing an asset allocation is a legitimate argument. The arguments do not have to be mutually consistent, and removing arguments that are inconsistent with your preferred approach does not improve the list.
There also are important arguments that have been left out, and they are arguments that are made by professional, institutional investors who make their living designing portfolios.
If the purpose of the thread were to advocate for the two allocation strategies you have used, I think it is meeting that objective.
