Yet but in defense of Lakpr's post, countless posters chided those of us who were blindsided by the recent bond swoon (when we expected safety) by insisting that "bonds behaved exactly as they are supposed to" and that we just "didn't understand bonds." So what is it? A black swan or bonds just doing what we should have expected?Just keep in mind that this was the worst drawdown in bond fund history. So to make it a valid warning, you need to also say "be prepared to lose 89% of your equity funds if you do"
I am fairly certain that very VERY few here ARE TRULY prepared to lose 89% of their equity funds if they are honest with themselves.
