I have a Pixel 6a and I've had it for about 2 years. I'm a techie type person. I had the Pixel 4a before that. The 6a runs pretty well. Fairly stable. My wife has an iPhone 13.
I use Firefox with a 3 extensions on my phone as my primary browser. One extension blocks ads (uBlock Origin). Another that darkens webpages (Dark Reader). And one that auto deletes cookies (CAD). Really like. I also use 1Password for password management and extends nicely to my laptop (a MacBook Air). That also works pretty well. Email, calendar, Spotify, Youtube. Google Maps. Gaia GPS. Tasks app. Keep app. Translate app. Kindle app. A bunch of travel and transportation apps etc. Also use Google Pay extensively. All work well. The biggest annoying bug is with audio and Low Energy Bluetooth (BLE). Basically if you stream audio to a hearing aid using BLE then every 10-12 min it will glitch for few seconds. This worked okay in my old Pixel 4a.. so not sure if it specific to the 6a or what. Fortunately I like the 6a so much that I can live with the bug and hopefully my next upgrade in a year or so will fix the issue.
Side note: Since I use a Mac and a Pixel phone I can't use the Messages app on my laptop for text messages. I do have a tab that is pinned and always open to messages.google.com on my laptop (also Firefox) to get any text messages. However I primarily use Signal and Whatsapp for messaging so I use their clients and they work pretty well.
What I like about my wife's iPhone that it not designed for a techie. It just works and works well. Also her speaker phone is much better than mine. However I think the virtual keyboard on mine is way better than the one that comes with the iphone.
Overall, they are about the same honestly. I guess it depends which one you are used to.
