I was planning to do backdoor Roth at fidelity next Jan, does anyone know if this hold applies to balances transferred from your CMA account to tIRA? I wouldn’t want a 16 day hold before I could do the Roth conversion… The funds in CMA are “settled” as I checked and so far it doesn’t seem like there is any hold for direct deposits of paychecks, hoping that doesn’t change. So basically if I have sufficient funds in the CMA showing under “cash available to withdraw”, and use that to fund the IRA will Fidelity allow me to do the Roth conversion without the long hold period?
Was previously doing the backdoor at Vanguard, have they started implementing hold times too?
