Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Re: Expecting twins! Financial (and life) check-up

Be prepared for them to arrive 3-8 weeks early. With all your time off and family nearby, I think a doula is overkill. Keep the babies on the same schedule. Don't feel bad if you have to use formula as breastfeeding is hard, especially with 2.

If you're in open enrollment, look into getting a hospital indemnity plan. If the twins arrive more than 3 weeks early, they'll probably be in the NICU. That plan would probably pay out each day they're there.

I think your AA is too high and you should have more cash/bonds now that you're expecting twins. If you want a new safer car, shop for it now. You won't have time for awhile after they are born.

Try to relax and enjoy the ride! Twins are scary for your first children, but you'll get in the swing of things and on a good schedule that works for you both.
