Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Re: For those with kids in private K-12

Curious how much your tuition typically goes up each year? Our school in a LCOL area raises rates about 7-8% a year, which is above average salary increases, and above current inflation. Seems high to me. Not sure how they justify it but everyone just keeps paying. This is not a post for those who dislike private schools. We have made many sacrifices to send our kids to the school that best aligns with our values and have zero regrets, but I am curious about other Bogleheads’ experience and if our school is an anomaly or the norm when it comes to annual tuition increases.
Schools know you will be reluctant to leave because private school parents tend to value stability and kids don't want to leave their friends, hence they "get you" with the high annual price hikes. If money is involved, it is a business.
