Personal Investments • Re: VBTLX into BND

I own both because my Roth is with Schwab, and it’s easier/cheaper to buy the ETF. My 403b is with Vanguard, and it’s VBTLX.

It’s mildly interesting to watch the daily performance of both.. side by side. Performance is rarely exactly the same on a daily basis. But they land at the same place at the end of each month and year.

Umm… VBTLX seems to pay dividend a day or two earlier than BND each month. But that has no bearing on performance. I sort of like the novelty of rebalancing in the middle of the trading day with BND, as it’s an ETF. I feel like Rockefeller, waiting for upticks and downticks in the share prices before pulling the trigger.. “buy!! buy!.. no.. sell! sell!!”. But who we kidding? I rebalance once a year. And even that novelty has worn off
