Sixt is pretty bad (the prices are way lower than others that's why it's tempting), but I think that applies to all rentals in Europe.
Few months ago I was returning a car in Munich ( Sixt, but it was the same return line for all rentals - I think they hired a third party company to do the returns). They found a super-tiny scratch (< 1") that you could barely see and added it to damage report. Thankfully they didn't end up charging me for it, but it's just annoying. The policy is way more lenient in the US, I think and they wouldn't even bother unless it's a large dent.
