I'm the original OP, bogleheads just helped me resolve a huge issue I was having w Part D Drug coverage.Omg, as a mid-forties woman with parents/family members who are on/going on Medicare, I have to ask why is this so so complicated. I’m pretty smart and my eyes cross when they start to discuss their plans, deductibles, drug plans, part a, b, c….im feeling hopeless for when I eventually go on this, is there no way to make things more simple and streamlined? Normal people (must less older adults with lots
Risky cognitive decline) cannot spend their time/energy understanding this. It’s maddening.
My wife entered Medicare in 2017, we attended several Medicare seminars in Northern KY region. Gathered info.
One seminar was from Medicare Simplified, their info was similar to the other seminars but their presentation was excellent, free and they provided a video on their website that did an excellent job of explaining the many facets of Medicare.
We decided to subscribe to Medicare Simplified in 2017 for my wife, then for myself in 2020
With my wife's new drug, we requested assistance for a review of her Part D due to drug's HIGH cost, drug being a tier 5 and the new $2K limit.
I also saw they had a new updated video out which explained Medicare better than the 2017 video.
