You could say that about any brokerage bonus. Indeed the time value / opportunity cost is not as clear cut as cash, and 2+ mo. isn't really going to make a practical difference in chasing bonuses, but someone could have assets tied up now or be waiting to see if better options turn up.
There's no real reason to wait to ACATS shares of stocks ETFs until the end of Dec 2024. You're not losing anything by sending it sooner. If you've decided to send the securities to TradeUp, what difference does it make if it's an extra 2 months or not?
