Office 2010 was the last good version! Before the big sucky UI change.If you're going to buy a standalone version of Microsoft Office, you might want to wait till later this year. Office 2019 will stop being supported by Microsoft in October 2025 and Office 2021 support will end in October 2026. Microsoft is supposed to release an Office 2024 later this year. This is just about getting security updates for the software. You can keep using them but there may be a small amount of risk depending on what kind of files you work with. I know people who are still using Office 2010! Support for that ended in 2020.
