Investing - Theory, News & General • Re: Understanding Expense Ratios

Thanks. I do understand now. However I have looked at No Load funds that are in the same classification as Global Large Cap Growth and most have Net Expense ratios that are higher than 0.81% because of the nature of global investments. I only found Driehaus with a lower net exp at .76% but the 0.3% waiver disappears early next year. Most are at or over 1%.

What are better options for global large cap? Am I missing something or do those of you who balk at the .81% avoid global markets?
VXUS from Vanguard is an international stock index ETF that excludes US. ER is 0.08%
VTIAX also from Vanguard is the same fund in a mutual fund share class. ER is 0.12%

Or you can get a world-wide fund like VTWAX that includes both US and international. ER is 0.10%.

If you seek active management, then consider VWILX it has an ER of 0.31%
