Personal Investments • Re: No Need For Rule 55 As Long As You Have Enough Roth IRA For 5 Years Expense?

Then again, with Vanguard also imposing a $25 withdrawal fee everytime we withdraw from the IRA account, I am not sure even if rolling over from 401(k) plan to a Vanguard IRA is a good move. [ Rolling over to other providers of course, as of now, is still a possibility ]
What kind of IRA do you have? We have no fees when withdrawing from our Vanguard tIRA’s or Roth IRA’s.
Roth IRA. Vanguard instituted this fee very recently
Are you sure you are not mistaking this for the new fee to ACATS your entire account to another brokerage?
Maybe, I haven't personally incurred the fees. No redemptions yet. But according to the terms the fee is imposed even if you do not transfer the entire account balance, even partial redemptions leaving Vanguard will attract the fee. If you are saying a partial redemption to cash of your VTSAX balance will not incur it, that is good!
I just looked at the Vanguard fee thread and it’s $100 to move your account and $25 if you call Vanguard to perform a transaction that you could do online.
