OP - 99% not the reply you were looking for but....

I treat Ibonds as if I were one of those squirrels that I’ve observed out my window during the autumn months. I tuck those ibond acorns away for a later date.

I also use MMF/HYSA given my timeline and liquidity needs. Sometimes I’m happy the about interest rate I’m earning, sometimes I’m not.
Irregardless of my happiness, I take what I can get at the time I need to hold cash, and with the least amount of faffing around.

I don’t have the ability nor patience to overly optimize and compare the level of returns. Whilst I treat Ibonds as cash like, I differentiate by the significantly longer holding period and what’s ever being offered for either choice is probably good enough for my intended purposes.
