Stick with Schwab as you transition to self-management. As you handle your own investments you will develop your own preferences and appreciations for what broker features and practices are important to you. You can self-manage equally well at Schwab, Fidelity, or Vanguard but they each have their positives and negatives that might make one better for you. If some web feature or business practice at Schwab bothers you you can research on this site how other brokers handle it. I would not take the decision to move brokers lightly, when you do it it can feel like you are moving from one residence to another with everything in different places. Even if you later decide to change brokers move only one account and try it out for six months or a year before you commit your whole portfolio.
