Take the long view, and don't fret that it took a few months to nudge over $2 million.Just hit $2 million total NW! (And I mean hit, not so much passed. Rounded to the nearest thousand it still rounds down to $2,000,000.)
It feels like it took forever because I first crossed $1.99MM a few months ago. But looking back I can't justify being anything other than happy about my trajectory:
June, 2019 $500k
May, 2021 $1MM
Aug, 2022 $1.5MM
July, 2024 $2.0MM
We'll see how long the path to $2.5MM takes. I'm guessing even longer now that I've divested myself of rental real estate and am completely in index funds.
Doubling your net worth by adding another $1 million, in just over 3 years, is pretty awesome.
