This is interesting to me. But I'm having a little trouble following the math.
You can remove the money after the 105th day, just keep a nominal balance in it. You can close it after 180 days.
The bonus is 1.5% for 105 days, so approximately 4.5% if annualized. Plus 4.25% on the savings, the annualized yield is 8.25%. It is stock-market like return, but without the drama and no risk to the principal.
For simplicity, let's say I put in $100,000, and don't touch it until I withdrawal it all after 181 days.
What would be the total amount I would get back (before taxes, of course)?
