Lab did what doctor ordered but patient was OP and you won’t find any paper work where doctor agrees to pay anything. But I bet you can find paperwork saying and singed by OP takjng financial responsibility.
I doubt you can find paperwork where the patient agrees to pay for fraudulent medical care (even though I’m sure it was an honest mistake)
Where was the fraud? Fraud would be if charged got a test not done. Or if doctor ordered a test for no purpose. But the test was done and it had a valid diagnostic purpose. OP ask to skip the test but an error was made. That is not fraud. But even if it were fraud it is not on the lab. They had valid orders for this test and performed it. So agsin, what fraud by the lab, 100% the papers signed by OP to pay are valid and imo appropriate. The lab gets paid they did nothing wrong. If OP wants to pursue reimbursement via doctor that is a small claims action.
