For me, yes. I track my expenses diligently, but I have no set budget.I like being able to withdraw my budget and be done with it once rather than constantly be selling/withdrawing throughout the year. I also like to set my budget for next year in my planning phase late in the prior year and I feel it's easier to stick to your budget when you just withdraw a chunk of cash and operate within those parameters rather than "withdraw as needed", what does that even mean? Does that mean one has no budget and is just open ended?
I spend what I want when I want.
I know me. I know this works for me.
You know you. Do what works for you.I don't like to operate that way. I withdraw say 50K at the start of the year and that is the cash I have to work with... I will perhaps overshoot on some categories but then underspend on others to make it work. ..
