I like being able to withdraw my budget and be done with it once rather than constantly be selling/withdrawing throughout the year. I also like to set my budget for next year in my planning phase late in the prior year and I feel it's easier to stick to your budget when you just withdraw a chunk of cash and operate within those parameters rather than "withdraw as needed", what does that even mean? Does that mean one has no budget and is just open ended?
For me, yes. I track my expenses diligently, but I have no set budget.
I spend what I want when I want.
I know me. I know this works for me.
I don't like to operate that way. I withdraw say 50K at the start of the year and that is the cash I have to work with... I will perhaps overshoot on some categories but then underspend on others to make it work. ..
You know you. Do what works for you.
