Current plan is to retire at around age 42, where the balance could grow to ~$1.5m.
If I don't hit that number, then I'll just keep working since I have an aggressive target to begin with.
I hold a TDF in my Roth IRA for simplicity purposes and I plan to move out of it once the glide path kicks in.
The idea for bonds in my brokerage is for a house expansion I'm planning in about 3 years.
Right now I'm aiming for 90% stock with 30% of that being foreign.
I'm coming up on my annual rebalance date, so I'll be moving some US stocks to Foreign in the 401k (quite painful to do considering the rally).
My portfolio is up 14% last year, which isn't the 26% that US stocks returned, but that's the price to pay for diversification.
Though if we see a -25% dip in US stocks, I might be a dirty market timer and dump a large portion of bonds into it.
Is there anything I could improve about my portfolio?
