Always Net Worth or Investable Assets.Yes, only count the equity of investable properties (home value less the loan), so 200K in your example. However I don't include my primary residence in investable net worth, only rental properties or other tangible assets considered an investment. Some folks may count their primary as investable if the intention is to live in it for a short time before flipping it, or some other short-term scenario.Can I ask a question about "investible net worth"
Say you have 500K of stocks, a house worth 500K, and a 300k mortgage.
Is your investible net worth 500K or 200K? That is to say, when considering the "net" amount of money you have available to invest, would you first adjust for financial liabilities?
In any case, most people don't separate into different categories of net worth. I'm just weird.
