I have been wondering whether an idea of mine is worth the effort and am hoping that the boglehead IT security savy folks would provide insight.
I was thinking that I would put all of my financial accounts under a new and more secure email account. I would subscribe to and use a secure email service like proton mail and not link the financial accounts in any way to personal email accounts (e.g., recovery email).
Is this additional layer of security worth the time, money and effort?
thanks in advance for your insights.
NB: I am already using separate passwords with 2FA on each financial account. 2FA is linked to phone and/or personal email account.
