Thank you all for your replies. I wound up selecting a 2025 Honda HRV for a little more than $32,000 in total (taxes, etc., included in that price). Cash payment. I went with the HRV Sport (mid-level) model to get added safety features, such as the blindspot detection for extra protection, given my young child.
