In addition the feddies give you 5% matching in their 401k equivalent called the Thrift Savings Plan, which has orders of magnitude lower expense ratio than anything else in the world.
I've highlighted the part that just ain't so.
See https://www.tsp.gov/PlanParticipation/B ... enses.html for the facts. TSP has an 0.042% average expense ratio. Where can you do better? Even Vanguard on its own website says its average expense ratio is 0.1% https://investor.vanguard.com/expense-ratio/ I suppose technically that is not "orders of magnitude" but is is 2.4X less.
Thanks for backing me up with numbers. And your comparison is against Vanguard, which itself has low expense ratios.
I agree the TSP has attractive costs compared to some corporate plans. But your statement was that the TSP "has orders of magnitude lower expense ratio than anything else in the world." That isn't true.
