It seems to me that we disagree on this basic premise. Why do you think bonds are a bad deal right now? As others have pointed out, bonds are a lot more attractive now than they were a few years ago, if you are into that market timing thing...Because the bond bull market for the last 40 years has ended.
I bought some of the 30 year TIPS recently at 2.3% real yield. Unless I really misunderstand bonds, why should 2.3% real yield make me nervous?
