Finally, pick low cost index funds for each of your asset allocations.You should have a destination in mind before you begin. Trying to find "better performing funds" is a lot like scheduling a future outdoor party based on last weekend's weather. The Wiki on this site is an amazing resource in bitesize pages.So, should I begin to cash out some of the funds, consolidate into fewer funds? If a fund has not performed do I just cash out of that fund and apply the $$ to better performing funds?
